ROHRER'S JOLTS McDONALDS AGAIN. 13-2..

“ A base hit meant more to Cap Anson than a week’s pay”

Memorial field Orwigsburg:  May 2, 2013
Manager Ken Grace was on a business trip this evening and left the club to Coach Josh Biever. Coach Biever had the boys on the up the whole night. It was bat, bats and more bats the whole evening. Everybody was hitting.
Blake Lipko was the starting pitcher and also the winning pitcher in four innings. The bats were going tonight as Big Nate Dixon went three for three with powerful hits. Blake Lipko also was on the wood this evening. Dylan Grace is looking stronger every game with his bat. Brent Kaunas will always get a hit in every game. Dylan Biever is a great hitter and ,cranks, we can depend on these sluggers. T. J Schappell had a well hit single and a nice triple on an error. By the end of the second inning, our club was ahead by a score of 7-2.
Well, cranks ,don’t let this get you too excited as McDonald`s is a struggling, new club with a lot of rookies and looming in our future is some hard baseball.  Our fielding was once again on level with a good ball club with Kyle Bainbridge snagging a nice high fly for an out. He is certainly showing the abilities of a good ball player. Andrew Phillips got tagged on the back with a wild pitch that made the fans cringe, but he shook it off and stayed in play.  And we can’t forget Matt Ross who cracked out a nice single.  Troy kept the field clear of any errant balls that would get past the infield and provided a good performance tonight.
All in all, as Coach Biever said, “We had our bats going from top to bottom.”
The Rohrer`s club finished with a respectable 13 to 2 victory with all boys in top form. After a few days off, the boys will be  back  and we wish them the  best of luck as they head toward another victory .
