ROHRER'S DUMPS SCHUYLKILL MRI 11-6

“In baseball you`re with every guy on your club and you`re against every player on the other club from the time the game starts until it’s over. You’ve got your whole club with you, too, but you`re all alone sometimes where they can’t help you.”

Joe Garagiola.

Memorial Field Orwigsburg:

Rohrer’s took on an excited Schuylkill MRI this evening, but the big bats from Rohrer’s were a little too much for the MRI club. And their excitement started to dwindle, inning by inning. The batting started to tear things loose when Dylan “D” Biever smacked his fifth home run of the season out over the fence, and then to the dismay of the MRI hurler, Brent Kaunas came in and destroyed the old cowhide for a homer over the fence. Terrific job by these talented payers!

The bats were definitely there this evening. Big Nate Dixon was in a slight slump in the beginning of the contest but at his final at bat, he hammered a line drive to center field for a double. As the mild, quiet mannered ball player tagged second, a big grin came across his face and Nate felt himself back in the swing. Blake Lipko also had a good evening at the bat.

TJ Schappell also had a good game at bat along with JT Fulkrod, who made a debut at third this evening. And what can you say about our outfielders? They get more and more impressive every game. Matt Ross, Troy Oswald, Andrew Phillips and Kyle Bainbridge did a great job in the outfield.  This writer notes that Dylan Grace is really becoming a good second baseman with his exciting infield play. Way to go, Dylan !

On the slab for the club were Blake Lipko, Dylan Biever and Nate Dixon. All boys did a stand up job. The win goes to Blake. The boys were in their most stylish form as they put MRI in the losing bracket.

The team is coming along nicely with each game. We look forward to continued improvement from each player as the season progresses.
