ROHRER’S DEPTH CHARGES MCDONALDS IN 4 …..14-3

Big right hander Nate Dixon took the mound for the Rohrer’s ball club and pitched a nice game and got the win in four innings over the McDonalds club this evening.

It was another night of back to back four inning wins for the hard hitting Rohrer’s club. Nate Dixon on the mound started off the throwing with the first batter getting a single, the next batter hit a double, and the third batter got another single. Oh, my, you could see the look on Nate`s face as he bent over, wiped some dirt on his hands ,took a deep breath and stared down the next batter and struck him out . The McDonald’s next batter hit a short chopper to first and ground out and Nate struck out the final batter after giving up 3 runs.

In the bottom of the first inning, Blake Lipko started off with a nice single. Dylan Biever walloped the ball for a triple and to add pain to the misery of the McDonalds club, Brent Kaunas stepped into the box and clobbered a 2 run home run. Nate Dixon, the pitcher, hit a powerful chopper to the outfield for a single. Dylan Grace blasted a single . Catcher T.J. Shappell drove in a 2rbi single. J.T.Fulkrod struck out along with Troy Oswald to close the inning.

In the top of the 2^nd Nate caught a short pop up to the mound for the first out. The second batter ground out to first. Nate walked the third batter and struck out the fourth in three pitches to end the inning.

Bottom of the 2^nd and Andrew Phillips got called out on a bunt. Blake Lipko got a single. Dylan Biever steals first on a dropped third strike. Brent Kaunas walked and Nate drives a fast grounder past the first baseman, trips and rolls up into a running position and makes a 2rbi double. Dylan Grace gets wacked with a pitch and takes first base. T.J. strikes out. J.T. steals first on a dropped third strike. Kyle Bainbridge strikes out.

In the top of the third a much more confident Nate Dixon hits the first batter on a high inside pitch. Nate struck out the second batter and gave up a single on the next hitter. He struck out the next batter and a final ground out to first.

In the top of the third, Matt Ross steals first on a dropped third strike and Blake Lipko drives out a nice single. Dylan Biever hits a hard hit ball to deep right and it bounces over the wall for a ground rule double. And up next, slugger Brent Kaunas makes an inside the park home run with a great hit to center field making the McDonald ball players chase all over the field for the ball. Nate Dixon can’t find a good pitch and is walked. Dylan grounds out and Blake pops out.

Top of the fourth finds Nate Dixon still on the slab and with two strike outs and pop up to short puts the game in the winning bag for the pitcher. It was a nicely played ball game for the Rohrer’s club and for the first start as a pitcher for Big Nate Dixon.
